Before you book
Can I drive with a UK licence?
Yes. A valid UK photocard licence is accepted for driving in France. The platform checks your licence and ID when you book.
Can I drive up to the ski resorts?
Yes. From 1 November to 31 March, French mountain law (loi Montagne) requires winter tyres, or snow chains or snow socks carried in the car, in the Isère mountains. Each vehicle’s equipment is listed on its booking page: tell us your resort when you book.
My flight is delayed, what happens?

Is insurance included?
Yes. Every rental booked on Turo or Getaround is covered by the platform’s insurance. Full cover details are on each listing.
